Instruction
The camp will consist of 4 instruction sessions. Campers will receive one on one instruction from the Millsaps Coaching Staff, as well as video analysis and a comprehensive plan to develop their skills in the time leading up to their season. The instruction will be intensive and specific to each individual’s flaws. The sessions will be directed around fielding, hitting mechanics, timing, in-game adjustments and techniques to improve the mental approach to hitting.
Video Analysis
Each hitter will be videoed. During camp we will have video review sessions that will be highly specific to each player’s needs. We will also reinforce the specific plan in one on one instruction for development. Each camper will leave with a clear understanding of what specific drills they need to help enhance their game.
Competition Component
We will be having multiple sessions that include an on-field component in which each camper works towards putting the skills he has learned together in a game atmosphere. Campers will get in-game instruction from the Coaching Staff throughout the games.
